Urszula Fryzka, a singer nominated for Charismatic Woman<\/em> shares her story of consistent artistic journey, talent and constant pursuit of growth.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

She was born in Kalisz and spent her childhood with grandmother in Sompolno. As a little girl, she wanted to become a \u2018singing fairy\u2019 \u2013 someone who makes people smile. Music has been her life companion from the very beginning \u2013 on the one hand, she owes it to the family artistic roots, and on the other \u2013 to her own dreams and hard work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although she learned mathematics and IT at secondary school and even studied pedagogy for a short time in Kalisz, her heart chose singing and stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 When the student\u2019s ready, a teacher occurs \u2013 emphasises the artist, recalling all who stood in her way, including Jacek Krzaklewski, a guitarist and member of the Perfect band, who initiated her audition with future singing teachers, prof. Danuta Paziuk and Marzena Wojak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She continued talent progression at the Anna German Music School in Bia\u0142ystok. She immediately enrolled in the second level of education and developed her stage, acting and dancing skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

18 years ago, she met her husband, a guitarist, Jurek Styczy\u0144ski, whom she not only makes a family with but also musical projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story of their relationship started in a unique and emotional way. Ula Fryzka recalls:
\u2013 I gave him my recording and spent three days in tremendous stress. I was afraid he wouldn\u2019t like it and say it wasn\u2019t for him. I waited and waited and waited\u2026 Finally, he called and said there\u2019s no need to lie, because the recording was great. It was a huge relief \u2013 and the beginning of our journey together, including music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the very beginning, she was involved in performances, giving concerts almost every day. She was the vocalist of the Chmury band, the songs of which were broadcast on Polskie Radio. She collaborated with further artists, including such bands as Golden Life and Big Cyc.
She\u2019s a winner of numerous awards at festivals and competitions, including Festiwal Tw\u00f3rc\u00f3w Piosenki Polskiej or Polish Karaoke Championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meeting Krzesimir D\u0119bski \u2013 an artistic breakthrough<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One of the most important moments in her career was collaboration with the outstanding composer and conductor, Krzesimir D\u0119bski. It all began during the pandemic \u2013 a difficult period for musicians. Krzesimir D\u0119bski\u2019s manager suggested that she perform in a chamber trio with her husband, Jurek Styczy\u0144ski. The project turned out to be the beginning of something much bigger.
Since then, she\u2019s been appearing in concerts accompanied by an orchestra conducted by Krzesimir D\u0119bski, among others performing film music.
\u2013 It\u2019s a great honour and an extraordinary experience for me. Choir singing prepared me for working with an orchestra, but here everything took on a different dimension. Krzesimir is an extraordinary person \u2013 supportive, warm, charismatic, and he approaches everyone individually \u2013 emphasises the singer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A concert in the auditorium of the University of Pozna\u0144, during which she performed on stage alongside Mieczys\u0142aw Szcze\u015bniak and Kasia Wilk, was a unique experience. Among other songs, she performed a track from the Stara Bas\u0301n\u0301 movie \u2013 and, as she admits, it was one of the most emotional moments in her career so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Music as a space of freedom<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Currently, Ula Fryzka works with the band named Przekora, performing rock interpretations of the Maanam songs. It\u2019s a project full of energy and closeness \u2013 the musicians from Opole form a well-coordinated team, working, playing and relaxing together.
Simultaneously, she performs in other projects: Made in Warsaw, in an acoustic trio with her husband and Wojtek Hoffman (Turbo), in a duo with Grzegorz Babisz, founder of the 230 volt band, where they play various genres of music, to name a few.
\u2013 We listen to expectations of our audience and give them music they want to hear \u2013 emphasises the artist.
She doesn\u2019t limit herself to one style. From powerful rock sounds, through pop, to lyrical songs \u2013 her voice suits various forms.
\u2013 I don\u2019t treat music as a career, but as my growth. When on stage, I relax and let my energy flow \u2013 she adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her repertoire includes covers of the greatest artists, but also her own recordings, including (To Takie) Proste, recorded with Made in Warsaw. The artist is currently working on new studio material, consistently building her own musical world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A charismatic woman \u2013 in life and on stage<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The artist makes no secret of the fact that she\u2019s a person with enormous energy.
\u2013 I have Asperger\u2019s \u2013 the diagnosis made my life fall into place. Music has become a channel for expressing emotions, the most important one \u2013 she says openly.
Always on time, reliable, passionate and professional \u2013 these are qualities confirmed by her colleagues. She puts her whole heart into performances and treats each and every concert as a meeting with the audience. Her motto is: Nothing is impossible, there are only people who are unwilling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A future full of plans<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The coming months will be intense for the artist. Further performances with the band, an important event she\u2019s once again partaking as a co-organiser. Purple Day \u2013 Poland\u2019s largest event, dedicated to the work of Deep Purple will take place on October 19, in Warsaw. For Urszula, this is not only an honour, but also proof that consistency and love for music lead to big stages and projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
